University of West Hungary Press was founded on 18th of November in 2009 by the Senate of the University of West Hungary. The Press's functions are put down in writing. The Press's main tasks are the next: edition of intellectual products connected with universityeducation, scientific investigation and the operating of the university ; motivation of the teachers' and researchers' publishing activities ; extend the prestige of the University of West Hungary in Hungary and abroad, too.
The Press attands to the lawful publishing of the teachers' and researchers' intellectual products (scientific-special book, journal, proceedings, etc.). Publishing of lecture notes and educational materials falling within the competence of the faculties are supervised by the Publisher Council. It insists on the importance of the modern, electronical publications which are essential for the new educational forms (e-learning, correspondence courses, postgraduate studies). Contemporaneously the Press accepts to publish documents connected with the operating of the university (university periodicals, newsletter, journal, bulletin, broadside, etc.) and contributed to the interests and the good reputation of the University of West Hungary.
